What you will do:

Supports the contracting and purchasing process by preparing and issuing purchase orders, negotiates with and selects vendors and monitors vendor performance.  Provides general support of the aircraft records function of CAM. Sources, negotiates, tracks and coordinates parts release for loaned/borrowed or cannibalized parts.

  • Secures competitive quotes from multiple vendors. Negotiates with suppliers to obtain best price and delivery schedule.  Selects vendors for the company's best interest and needs.
  • Establishes and monitors purchasing policies and proceedures.  Prepares and issues purchase orders, including verifying approval and scheduling delivery.
  • Places purchases with vendors through AMES processing system.
  • Contacts vendors in regards to status of orders.  Tracks and monitors purchase and repair orders, keeping aware of any problems/delays.  Communicates any impacts/constraints. 
  • Reconciles invoices against purchase and repair orders.  Maintains computerized or hard copy procurement records such as items, purchases, costs, delivery, product quality or performance, and inventories.  
  • Develops and maintains strategic relationships with key suppliers and vendors.  Identifies cost reduction opportunities.  Contributes to the performance of the company by lowering material cost.
  • Serves as CAM liason with Boeing for contracted services for it's fleet.  Assists contracted lease customers getting set up with My Boeing Fleet access.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What you need:

  • Bachelors Degree preferred

  • Requires at least 2 years of experience in vendor relations and/or negotiations.  

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and e-mail.  Must be able to design and maintain spreadsheets for reporting and write correspondence. 

  • Must be detail oriented, organized, self-motivated, and able to balance several projects at the same time.  Must have excellent communication skills.

  • Previous experience with aircraft records managment is a plus.
